"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings."
I have included a link to Jeff Curto's Camera Position Podcast 148, "Snowshoes and Photography." I have been subsrcriber via Itunes for some time and can highly recommend his website and podcast to those interested in the creative side of photography. During this episode, he recounts his recent first experience using snowshoes here in the U.P. while visiting, as a means to get to his location to shoot. This past winter, my investment in a pair of Northern Lites Backcountry Shoes (lightest snowshoes available for backcountry use) made it possible to complete the Winter River videography project, in addition to photographing many other remote locations that hitherto, were simply off limits due to five feet of snow. Jeff has him own website at www.jeffcurto.com and his podcasts are available online at www.cameraposition.com
