"Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. Some people become crazy....or they become legend."
This follow up to the 2011 novel, "The Great Leader", finds retired Michigan State Police Detective, Simon Sunderson back in the U.P. and tangled up with a local yooper hillbilly clan (the Ames family) that is well beyond violent (against each other and outsiders). I am about half way through and am trying not to finish too fast, as Harrison novels seem to only come once every two years now. A superb read with the usual colorful characters and all the charm one expects from this prolific outdoor writer. Miss our book discussions and the free-thinking they generated.
