Off before daylight tomorrow for a long overdue trip to the Keweenaw Peninsula to photograph at various favorite locations (both landscape and architecture). Mining sites, machinery, homes, and landscapes, including Lake Superior Shoreline. Also a treat to eat at Lindells in Lake Linden, the turn of the century soda fountain with killer homeade food. An annual winter tradition for me that was missed many weekends in a row, due to either weather or wood making. I remember this shot and day like it were yesterday, instead of those years back. We were amazed that this woman from England, could on her own, survive in our winters in this mining home, single handed.....no modern day plows, snowblowers, etc in the 1800's. Women are tough in the U.P. too....As usual, Benny will hope for a doggie bag from Lindells.
