Spent the day with a friend and his wife cutting logs, stacking, loading in his truck and trailer and unloading and stacking here. Wood makes you warm many times. Stitched up my ice fishing bibs, which fell victim to my Husqvarna 450 Rancher chain, but better my pants than an artery. Need to spend the money and get some chaps for wood making that protect the legs. Tom bought 20 logger's cords (60 firewood cords) in which a log truck and pup deliver a ton of eight foot logs and put them in a mountainous stack. I purchased five full cords from him to get through the rest of the winter. This has been an experiment, and at this point, it looks like I will be ordering a semi load of ten cords for next year, based on utilization this year. Time for a very hot bath soak and Ibuprofen.
"Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood; aim for the chopping block."
