We ended up with a foot of heavy/wet snow for our first blast of the season. It will all be melted in a few days, as the temps are going back up to the 50's by opening day of rifle season for whitetail deer on Sunday. Definitely starting out as an El Nino winter season, as predicted. What an incredible difference here compared to the previous two arctic assaults. You never have to worry about enough snow here-always plenty for me to ski, snowshoe, and photograph. Enough ice to ice fish in a warm winter by the first to second week in December.
