Readers often hear me snipe about the inaccuracy of local weather predictions, due to the erratic effects of Lake Superior, just a few miles from the farm. Today was supposed to be light to moderate cloud cover, so I left @0530 for a morning of landscape and architectural photography, only to find a cloudless sky soon after sunrise at 0730. Managed about five shots on the beach at Lake Superior, between the Porkies and Ontonagon. On the positive side, I did manage to get all the gardens down, leaves up, and lawns mowed for the final time. Just shy of half way done stacking the six cords of wood. As Mick Jagger sang in a famous Stone's tune, (from the album, "Let it Bleed", which was released during my senior year in high school-1969). "You can't always get what you want-you get what you need."
