Benny and I left the farm about 0600 for the Keweenaw Peninsula. Most of the leef-peeping tourists have dispersed so the traffic was negligable. More muted colors this year, but deligbhtful none the less. First stop was the Quncy Mine in Hancock, then on to the Dredge in Torch Lake, then a BLT at Lindells, a stop at Eagle River, then up the coast to Brockway Mountain Drive, a bit of shopping in Copper Harbor (which according to their new sign, is now the summer home of Michigan rock legend and leader of the Stooges, Iggy Pop), then Central Mine and home. Went through almost two batteries on fhte Canon 5D Mark II and one on the Canon S95. Had a beer and great pasty on the way home to finish a good day.Over 450 images to process, some of which will make a new videography project. Headed to Snap Fitness to work out this morning, then back home to face the challenge of dealing with cleaning out 8 more perennial beds for winter. Nice sunny day but very heavy frost again. On my way out back to check the game camera and get a chilly ass in my pajamas.
