This shot was taken in my early days of 35mm photography and color reversal film (slides) with a Nikon F3HP camera (early 80's). These homes are no longer standing with the exception of one or two from the entire village. So many of my hallmark architectural subjects, as also noted by the esteemed photographer, David Plowden, in his personal experience, have disappeared either by urbanization, or in the case of the U.P., by decay. My suggestion to other photographers who have an interest in arcane architectural subjects....don't wait, shoot it immediately. You come back with the camera the next week and a wind has taken that classic barn down to a pile.
My six month oncology check up at Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center today with my new oncologist. Must wait for the Radiologist to read the X-Ray, as she noted there was a shadow that was not present from the previous CT scan. Will require another CT scan if the radiologist does not rule it out as an artifact. Shit.
