96 year old Rauhallinen Farm provides much opportunity to find discarded and lost items from bygone days. This pair of scissors was found in the barn. Last summer, while digging new flower beds, live ammo and an ancient baseball mitt turned up. While surviving this winter here in the wilderness with the convenience of a large snowblower and friends with plow trucks, I often wondered how the early owners of this farm managed the snow, especially on the very long drive. I would suspect, horse-drawn plow.
