Lake Superior Shoreline-Porcupine Mountains Wilderness

This Accomodation

I don't need much.
The ability to discern
you are not here
albeit
reluctantly.
To see shape,
structure, and juxtaposition.
Recognize loneliness
accept it
use it to feel
those spaces that can
otherwise go without notice.
Remember the
smell of a woman's
neck
the love of a dog
or dogs
and
of course
getting lost occasionally
in thought
and woods with
 recalcitrant
crows
who unfurl
invectives down
from Aspen.
To use the camera
without thought
as taking a piss
and have it
work out
in the end.
