Everlasting Pea (Lathyrus latifolious)

I walk these roads shopping for images.
Palette of the day
akin to Monet’s Giverny gardens
if you squint.
The transition following one bloom to the next
has become predictable
after three yearsof observation.
First Lupine
lastly asters
before the ending heralded by frost.
Leopold, Dillard, Abbey, Harrison,
 and the others
all speak to me
these quiet evenings
 out here on the road.
